Version 2.x (expected in 2027) will be a paid upgrade. The 1.x on your Mac keeps working.

First launch, in two lines:

Unzip and open – AWM offers to move itself to Applications.
Follow the guided setup to grant the Accessibility permission (that's how macOS lets AWM see and manage other apps' windows).

Stays current: AWM updates itself through a built-in updater that cryptographically verifies every download before installing it.

Which tier will I want?

Nothing is due during 1.x – everything above is already yours. Here's where people land:

One Mac, one display. Lite carries the daily loop: the window strip, click-to-switch, multi-select cleanup, Stash Space, every look and layout option. Want the panel to also manage itself – auto-hide, minimized-windows grouping, inline close buttons, the global hotkeys? That's Plus.

More than one display, or thirty windows deep. Pro is your tier. It includes everything in Plus – a strip on every display, per-monitor and per-desktop filters – and adds the Dock Mirror, live window previews ², color markers with keyword rules, inline rename and on-device AI title shortening ¹.

You don't have to keep score, either. Settings already wears the labels: rows that will belong to Plus or Pro carry a small capsule badge, while every control stays enabled. Use AWM for a week and the badges you keep meeting will tell you your tier.
